Plunge is this Sunday! This awesome event is an opportunity for you to witness the public declaration of faith of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer for these new Christians! Starting at 3:00pm there will be a time of fellowship at the swimming hole on the Drake family farm. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket and a covered side dish. Come ready to swim and to play! Ladies are asked to wear a one-piece swimsuit, or if wearing a two-peice, a t-shirt over. Anyone who has already signed up or who would like to talk to a pastor about being baptized is asked to meet at 5:00pm at the swimming hole. Don’t miss church this Sunday as the message will be about Baptism, it’s purpose and it’s meaning. Services are at 9:15am and 10:45am. Bring a friend!
HUGE BLESSING THIS PAST WEEKEND AND HOW YOU CAN PRAY!!! We had an awesome thing happen this past weekend at 24! We had more kids than ever in our Kids Church ministry for both service times! This is obviously awesome and on top of it all we have made recent changes to 24Kids that will allow us to minister to more kids. I would like to ask all of us to pray for this ministry. Many of you are looking for a place to serve and others things to pray about. For those in the first catagory I’d like to ask you to pray about being apart of the Kingdom of God and not sitting on the sidelines by serving with the already awesome volunteers we have. For those in the second catagory: pray that God would speak to the hearts of people that He would lead them to join in this great work! There are so many things to be done in there – not all teaching, not all leading but will be needed for us to continue to move to the next level of kids ministry. Exciting stuff. SO PRAY AND LET’S PRAY AND WATCH GOD MOVE!!!!
If you enjoy biking, camping, and the great outdoors, join the 24 Church cycling team on the Jack & Back October 3-4, 2009. It’s a leisurely bicycle tour through the beautiful countryside with rest stops and refreshments every 12-15 miles. Cyclists ride 60-75 miles the first day (you choose the long or short route), relax for the afternoon, eat a great BBQ dinner at the Distillery pavillion, camp, then ride back to Franklin. It’s a great way to spend quality time with friends, and you are raising money for multiple sclerosis research and treatment. 24 is planning a rafting trip to Ocoee, TN on Septer 19! Everyone is welcome to come, kids and adults that want to act like kids! The cost will be about $35/ person. There are participant agreement forms and a sign up list on the information table.

There will not be a regular FUEL meeting this Sunday so that everyone can come out to Plunge and enjoy the day! Don’t forget the Volunteer Information meeting on Spetember 9! Anyone who wants to help out with our growing Student Ministry or just wants information on serving, you are invited to attend.
